Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program

For post-Foundation/post-Certificate/post-Diploma students

​

An ab-initio training program for students with Foundation, Certificate or Diploma that wants to obtain the CAAM Part-66 Category A1 or Category A3 licence. The program includes 800 hours of theoretical and practical training, CAAM examinations, On-the-Job training and Assessment.

CAAM Part-66 Category A Accelerated Program

For aircraft maintenance personnel

​

A fast-track, part-time program with CAAM Part-66 examinations, designed specifically to cater to aircraft maintenance personnel. Due to the fast pace of this program, students are expected to have good command of the English language and have made revisions prior to attending the modular courses.

Program Details

  • Includes training notes and 1st attempt of the CAAM examination

  • Assessment packages are offered separately. See fee schedule here

  • Minimum maintenance experience requirement for Application of Grant of Licence is 3 years and Application for Licence Extension is 6 months

  • Application for Grant of Licence or Application for Licence Extension must be through AMO

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) Program

For post-SPM or O Level/post-Foundation/post-Certificate/post-Diploma students

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are the qualified personnel who, by law, determine if the aircraft is safe to be released for flight. Like pilots and air traffic controllers, Aircraft Engineers are licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).

​

Aircraft Engineers maintain the aircraft in accordance to the approved methods and standards, which includes preservation, inspections, repairs, overhauls and replacement of parts.

​

As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be certifying in writing that the required maintenance tasks have been carried out properly.

Our program is a 4-year full time, intensive traineeship towards the grant of the CAAM Part-66 Category B - Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's licence. The program encompasses 2,400 hours of theoretical and basic skills training, CAAM Examinations, On-the-Job Training (OJT) on operational aircraft and Assessments.

We offer the following Categories;

  • Category B1.1 (Aeroplanes Turbine)

  • Category B1.3 (Helicopters Turbine)

  • Category B2 (Avionics)

Entry Requirements

  • Age 17 - 26 years old

  • SPM or O Level with minimum grade C in English Language, Mathematics or Physics/Science, or Diploma/Degree, preferably in technical fields.

  • Physically and mentally fit, not colour blind.

​

Applicants are subjected to Admission Assessment, comprises of an Aptitude Test, Practical Test and Interview, prior to being accepted to this program.

CAAM Part-66 Category B Accelerated Program

For aircraft maintenance personnel

A fast-track, part-time program with CAAM Part-66 examinations, designed specifically to cater to aircraft maintenance personnel who plan to up-skill to the Category B Licence.  Classes are conducted after office hours and on weekends.

​

All modular courses include training notes and 1st attempt CAAM Examination fee.  Assessment is available as add-on.

​

Applicable for aircraft maintenance personnel pursuing;

  • Grant of Licence Category B1.1/B1.2/B1.3/B2

  • Licence Extension B1.1/B1.2/B1.3/B2

  • Limitation Removals B1.1/B1.3/B2

  • Validated Aircraft Maintenance Licence (VAML)

  • Currently working in an Aircraft Maintenance Organisation in Malaysia, or military personnel 2 years prior to end-of-service (Roll-out Date).

  • Minimum 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience.

  • Have attended basic aircraft maintenance course

  • Able to read, write and understand in English language.

EASA-DCAM Equivalency Program

For EASA Part-66 Category B Licence holders

​

An accelerated, yet comprehensive program for EASA Licence holders to obtain the CAAM Part-66 Category B Licence.  Instead of sitting all 16 CAAM examinations, students only sit for 1 CAAM Examination paper that covers all modules (except Module 10, which is offered separately) under respective Category.

Entry Requirements

  • Malaysians

  • Hold valid EASA Part-66 Category B Licence, issued before 30 June 2017.

  • Does not hold any other CAAM Licence.

  • Currently employed in an Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) in Malaysia, foreign/overseas AMO that hold CAAM approval.

  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

Students to submit the following documents upon application;

  • Letter of confirmation of employment

  • Copy of IC

  • Copy of EASA Licence

  • Copy of EASA Examination result

  • Copy of Logbook

​

Program Details

  • Classes are conducted on part-time basis.

  • Program includes training, training notes, 1st attempt CAAM Examination & Assessment.

  • Training includes all modules except Module 10.  Module 10 is available as add-on for those who have not passed the CAAM Examination.
